Owner occupied 7.5 Acres above
the Sammamish Valley APD in a little valley on the west slope of
Hollywood Hill. Primarily funded as a cooperatively run 9 horse stable.
King County Farm and Forest Stewardship Plans. A wealth of horse manure
compost free of wood chips. Two goats to clear brush. A couple chickens
for eggs. Two old Gravenstein apple trees. Large beds of rhubarb and
raspberries for wine and very productive, sunny, shared garden plots.
Well composted Glacial Till and mostly gentle slopes on the 3 1/2 acres
of usable farm land with trails leading through the mature woodland to
the Tolt Pipeline Trail System.
Woodinville has a Farmers Market
and the local active Grange Hall is a mile away in the Tourist District
which is a center for Washington State Wine. The APD has Farm Stands
and 21 Acres has active programs for Farmers.
The 1917 Arts and
Crafts Cottage on the property was built by Frederick Stimson, a lumber
baron as a wedding gift for his daughter. A native plant nursery would
therefore be appropriate. In the tradition of the arts and crafts
movement, the house has a shared use wine cellar using only Puget Sound
grown fruit. Pump house kitchen by the gardens has quality well
water. Shared Tools and Tool Shed. Ford 8N Tractor when needed.
